Veterinarians

Dr. John Stinson
Dr. Stinson received his BS in Business Administration from Appalachian State University in 1984. He attended N.C. State College of Veterinary Medicine, and, after receiving his doctoral degree in 1994, joined the Animal Hospital of Wilkes team. Outside of our hospital, he enjoys playing golf and riding motorcycles.

Dr. Chad Aderhold
Dr. Aderhold is a 1990 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. A native of Georgia, he's been practicing veterinary medicine in North Carolina since graduating. Dr. Aderhold's passion in veterinary medicine is orthopedic surgeries. When out of the office, he likes to ride horses.

Dr. Lynn Allred
Dr. Allred attended Auburn University, where he graduated in 1984. He has been employed at the Animal Hospital of Wilkes since his graduation.

Dr. Ashlyn Reece
Dr. Ashlyn Reece grew up in Hamptonville, NC. She spent her childhood dreaming of becoming a veterinarian, despite of her initial allergy to animals that she was able to grow out of in order to pursue her dream!
Dr. Reece received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Carolina - Charlotte and then graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, VA.
She is known for rescuing cats and caring for special needs cats.
When not at the hospital, Dr. Reece can be found surrounded by her rescued cats-- she is known for caring for special needs cats. She hopes to soon fulfill her and her mom's dream of becoming a non-profit organization that specializes in rescuing cats in need.

Dr. Ryan Campbell
Dr. Ryan Campbell is originally from East Tennessee, where he grew up on a farm raising cattle, pigs, and chickens. This is where he gained experience working with large animals, and even though his dream job as a c child was to become a Herpetologist like Steve Irwin, he was influenced to become a veterinarian.
Dr. Campbell attended Lincoln Memorial College of Veterinary Medicine. He holds a special interest in orthopedics and surgery.
When not at the hospital, Dr. Campbell can be found visiting family and friends at his Tennessee farm, riding motorcycles, gaming, or frequenting the gym.
Office Managers

Marcy E.
Marcy started working at the Animal Hospital of Wilkes in August of 2007. Her free time is almost always spent with her two children and riding her horses!

Receptionists

Brianna West
Brianna joined our team in May 2022, recently moving from her hometown of Spartanburg SC. Bri has always found joy of working with animals but her passion is in the medical field as she is currently working towards a career in radiology. She spends her free time with her family, friends and sweet pup Remi.

Mia Walker
Mia grew up on a farm with large animals, mainly draft horses, and dreamt of holding a veterinarian profession when older. She is now ecstatic to translate this passion into a career by joining the AHW family.
Her specialty is in communications and it is evident she thrives in the area when bonding with our clients, providing help and resources in anything you may need.
When not at the hospital, Mia can be found spending time with her family and horses.

Raquel Spears
Raquel joined our team in July 22, she grew up in Wilkesboro NC. Raquel spends her free time with her daughter and her pets.

Crysta Beard
Crysta has lived in the Kings Creek area for 22+ years. She graduated from Hibriten High School in 2009 and attended college to receive her CNA certification. After spending four years working in that field, she decided it was time to join our AHW family!
Crysta is the first face our clients see when entering the hospital; striving to go create a welcoming and inviting experience for all.
When not at work, she spends time with my her three kids, reading, and overall enjoying life.
Technicians

Amy Dancy
Because she dreamed of being a veterinarian technician since she was a child, Amy has had an unparalleled compassion for animals, wanting to give every pet a fair chance. She has had 2 years of experience in the field since joining in October 2020 as a kennel assistant. While working, she has been enrolled in college working towards her veterinary technician degree. When Amy's not working, she's spending time with her kids and pets.

Beverly Elliott
Beverly joined the hospital in March 2016. As a child, she grew up in Ashe County, NC, and dreamed of being a state trooper. Now, Beverly specializes in blood draws, catheter placement, and dental surgeries. When she's not working, Beverly spends time with her family on the lake, playing softball with her daughters.

Ellie Brewer
Ellie is from Traphill, NC. During her childhood, she dreamt of becoming a veterinarian. She has translated this passion into a profession and is starting a career in veterinary medicine as Veterinary Technician.
She is known in the workplace for being able to maintain engaging conversations with just about anyone! Ellie especially loves building meaningful relationships with clients-- needless to say she has a great way of easing emotions during stressful or tense situations.
When not at the clinic, Ellia can be found in Boone with her friends or hanging out with her pets.

Chastity Jordan
Chastity grew up in Love Valley, North Carolina, and dreamed of becoming a licensed veterinarian so she could work with large and exotic animals. Bringing experience in the field from 2020, her work with small and large animals brings her strides closer to her childhood dream. Chastity joined the Animal Hospital of Wilkes in April of 2022 as a veterinary technician, working with big and small animals alike.
Her life outside of the clinic is just as eventful. Chastity runs her own grooming business for small and large dogs and, in her off-time, volunteers as a soccer coach for union grove elementary school.

Cameron Williams
Cameron was born and raised in Wilkes, playing baseball or football and chasing his dream of becoming a veterinarian. He joined the Animal Hospital of Wilkes in January of 2021 as kennel technician.
At work, Cameron’s known for mixing the humor in with the seriousness of the job. In his free time, he’s either enjoys family time with his wife and baby boy or some alone time hunting, fishing, and working on cars.

Emily Witzel
Emily grew up in upstate New York prior to moving to Elon, NC. She attended Appalachian State University for almost two years and is now pursuing a Veterinary Technician online degree.
During childhood, Emily saw herself in sports medicine, which is what she attended ASU for. Her love for animals intertwined with her passion for medicine; she realized she had to incorporate the care of animals in her career. She is also a part of the Humane Society of Wilkes.
Pet nail trims are the easiest thing ever for Emily-- some would say it's her specialty! She often wears different hats and can be seen helping her teams in reception, technicians, and kennels.
When not at the hospital, Emily enjoys being a homebody and hanging out with her six dogs, two cats, and fiancé. They love to travel and watch movies, as well as go to the park or river.

Lynsi Sheets
Lyndsi grew up in Wilkes County and graduated from West Wilkes High. Since she was a child, she dreamed of being coming a veterinarian. Now, Lynsi is working professionally as vet technician with the team at Animal Hospital of Wilkes. When she’s not at work, Lynsi enjoys being home with her friends and pets.
